Welcome to the Alpha Deuteron Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa (ΦΣΚ)!

On behalf of the gentlemen of Phi Sigma Kappa, Welcome! As our current President, I’d like to thank you for visiting our website and provide you of a brief snapshot of what Phi Sig Men really are.

At Phi Sig, we strive to achieve greatness in ourselves, in the classroom, and beyond. In everything that we do, we are driving toward a better campus community and surrounding area. We put our noses to the grind stone to get the job done and refuse to accept defeat as an option. In our long history here at Illinois, Phi Sig Men continue to leave an ever brighter and bolder legacy.

One hundred and forty-one years ago, Phi Sigma Kappa was founded on Three Cardinal Principles: the Promotion of Brotherhood, the Stimulation of Scholarship, and the Development of Character. Here at Illinois, we use these Cardinal Principles for one major purpose: happiness.

College is said by many to be the best time of their lives; it’s a time of learning and growth, freedom and independence.

The gentlemen of Phi Sigma Kappa embrace this truth. We have members high in the rankings of the Student Senate and professional fraternities and organizations. Many of our members participate in intramural sports and community service events and work part-time jobs throughout the school year.

Our members study together, work out at the ARC together, attend sorority events together, run marathons, play cards together, go paintballing together, watch TV together … and the list goes on.

We do all of these things because we enjoy them – yes, believe it or not, many of us enjoy studying and performing well in school. We believe in the power of personal identity, and recruit individual men with diverse backgrounds, heritages, and interests because surrounding yourself with a diverse group prepares you for a diverse world.

But don’t take my word for it, find out for yourself: browse our website, ask questions, shoot us an email, or give me a call. I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have. I have found true happiness with Phi Sigma Kappa, and so can you.
